Even if you’re not particularly interested in boxing, you’ve likely heard of Danny Garcia. He’s one of the most popular boxers on the circuit today, and he recently took home the award for Fighter of the Year from the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). The 29-year-old Philadelphia native has a record of 34 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws; he’s currently ranked seventh in the welterweight division by BoxRec, which is an objective authority on boxing rankings.
What I like about my choice
I like that everything has been super current. It also covers women’s boxing and has a lot of great material from interviews with fighters, trainers, and commentators. One downside is that there are a lot of ads on some pages but they do give you the option to unsubscribe.
What I don’t like about my choice (five sentences)
I really wish it had more in-depth coverage of smaller events and local news. One thing that I think would be great for them to do more often would be to share advice articles on how to start your own business or something similar.
What you need to know
My name is John, and I am an avid boxing fan. As a part of my job, I was assigned to find the best boxing news site. After checking out numerous websites, I’ve come to conclude that Ring Magazine does not match up with what an avid boxing fan wants in terms of new stories, videos, and information about the sport. Garcia has more pictures than all other sites combined and provides insightful opinions on who deserves attention as well as video footage of previously archived fights– including interviews with boxers before their major bouts. With over 10 years of posts, it offers unmatched potential for exploration. It also happens to be free!
The best bang for your buck
One thing you need to know when you go out to fight, whether in a boxing match or just in life, is that two things are key to success: confidence and preparation. As good as you may be (or think you are), there will always be someone better than you and it’s best to train for that situation. As Miguel Cotto once said, Fighting never goes 100% according to plan ข่าวมวย. I’ll never forget when he said this before one of his fights because it was something I already knew from all my experience in boxing and mixed martial arts training.
Training with two different boxers
In an effort to try and gain a better understanding of boxing, I trained with two different boxers. Juan is your typical rough around the edges, Brooklyn brawler. He’s big for his weight class, almost completely devoid of technique, but boy does he throw punches at some serious speed. Khloe has a background in Tae Kwon Do which she utilizes through her use of footwork and constant throwing of jabs and hooks. It was like night and day going from Juan to Khloe when it came to training experiences- they’re both skilled in their own right but they’re very different styles which I enjoyed working with.
Other options
Frank Garcia has been boxing for over forty years. He’s seen his share of ups and downs in the sport, but he seems to be at the peak of his career. He started boxing when he was eleven and has never looked back. The boxer started out with Roy Jones Jr and continued on until now. Frank says when you go from a young guy to an old man, you can’t take as many punches. This has forced him to change some things in training for this new era. But it’s not all bad. He gets more rest between rounds which means less wear and tears on his body. The retired athlete also doesn’t have to worry about getting punched in the face anymore!
What makes Frank Garcia so successful? For one thing, he’s always had a lot of faith in himself-even when nobody else did. In high school, he wanted to play football, but they were already too deep into the season so they made him play guard instead because they needed someone short (he stands at 5’5). But that didn’t stop him-he played for college teams as well as professional ones before finally hanging up his cleats for good after twenty years of playing pro ball. It just goes to show that nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself enough!
Pros & Cons
A lot of boxing news websites seem to focus on predicting who will win in a match, but they don’t spend any time explaining how. A few sites do cover both angles, and it can be hard to choose which one is best. With so many different opinions out there, you may end up feeling like you’re just rolling the dice with whatever site you go with. That’s why it’s good to have a checklist for the qualities that make for a good boxing news website. Here are some pros and cons of articles by Garcia, who also has an app available on iTunes:
